Assess Your Photo First, Then Edit

I always do an image assessment before I start post processing. Sometimes it is very quick, other times I spend a few minutes. This habit is so ingrained in my workflow, it is second nature now. As I sat down to begin work on a photo of Sisters Rock in Oregon, I realized I was assessing the image. The video camera went on and I recorded a few thoughts.
